We focused on developing a dog backpack that is so lightweight and non-restrictive that your dog will not feel it when running through the hills.
Modeled from a dog harness, the Trail light dog backpack features a Y-shaped neck and uniquely streamlined pockets, promoting unrestricted shoulder movement and full range of motion.
The two water-resistant side pockets are designed to distribute weight and reduce pressure on the spine. They are lined with a soft material that minimizes shifting, enhancing comfort during active use. Additional bungee cords on the top and sides allow for extra storage.
Tackling the common issue of overheating with conventional dog packs, the open mesh on the top and our highly breathable Hexivent material on the belly panel ensure increased airflow and quick drying. The light-colored pockets effectively reflect solar heat.
Quick to put on and off, and highly adjustable around the neck and chest, the backpack has four protected side-release buckles.
The Trail light dog backpack is available in sizes XS-XL, in color Gray/black.

Your dog should be fully grown, approximately two years before it is ready to start backpack training. Initially, with no weight, let your dog get used to wearing the backpack. Then you can gradually increase the load. Make sure to balance the weight on both sides.
How much a dog can carry depends on the breed, size, and shape. Your dog should be fully grown, approximately two years of age, and in good shape before they start to carry weight. Always start with an empty backpack and add weight gradually over several weeks. For a healthy dog in regular shape that only carries weight occasionally, a maximum of 5-15% of your dog’s body weight is recommended.
A strong and well-trained dog can carry 30-50% of their own body weight. This will vary based on the dog's shape and breed. In addition, the weight of the backpack will depend on the terrain and the length of the hike.
