Bikejoring is a fun activity where one dog or a team of dogs runs in front of a bike, pulling it. Biking is an excellent way to exercise your dog, as it builds both strength and endurance while also providing mental stimulation.

On this page you will find information about equipment, how to get started, interviews with professional athletes and training tips useful even for the most experiened bikejoring enthusiasts.

Gear up for bikejoring

Having the right bikejoring equipment will enhance your experience and ensure the safety of both your dog and yourself on the trails

A pulling-harness, an elastic line and a bike antenna are the key items needed to go biking with your dog.

  • Pulling-harness – Distributes the pull-force evenly, allowing your dog to breathe and move unrestricted.

  • Elastic line – Softens sudden pulls. Recommended length is 2,8 meters or longer.

  • Bike antenna – Prevents the line from getting tangled into the front wheel.
