Canicross Couch to 5K training program - Week 6
Life with dogs can sometimes be challenging - even though it doesn't seem so on everyone's social media! Maybe your dog does not understand the task. They might lunge at other dogs or make a mess in your house.
Luckily, training canicross together has several positive effects on your dog's physical and mental health. We have talked to canicross athletes Nick and Joy Weis about this topic. You will find the inspiring podcast episode with them below, but first;
This week's training sessions
Session 21 (suggested Tuesday)
- 9-min brisk walk.
- 3 * 7:30 jog/1:30 walk.
- 9-min brisk walk.
Session 22 (suggested Thursday)
- 9-min brisk walk.
- 3 * 9:00 jog/3:00 walk.
- 9-min brisk walk.
Session 23 (suggested Saturday)
- Canicross, 2 km.
Session 24 (suggested Sunday)
- 24 min brisk walking/jogging.
- If something bad happens, it doesn’t mean you failed as a dog trainer
...It just means you have more work to do, which everyone does!
